The Coquihalla is the most accessible river to the Greater Vancouver area. Cascading down the western slopes of the Coastal Mountains near Hope BC, the Coquihalla is only 90 minutes from the heart of Vancouver, yet is worlds apart.
The Coquihalla is non-stop action from the beginning to the end. The Coquihalla features twenty Class 2-3 rapids and a few Class 4 drops including Committed, Boulder Drop and Initiation.
Downstream from take-out, the Coquihalla begins its final descent to the Fraser River through an incredible granite-rock canyon. This Class 6 section features numerous waterfalls and vertical drops.
