The Deschutes Wild and Scenic River is home to world-renowned fly fishing, scenic floats, camping and whitewater rafting, and America Outdoors outfitters provide all of these activities for you to enjoy. The Deschutes features ruggedly beautiful scenery, outstanding whitewater boating, and a renowned sport fishery for steelhead, brown trout, and native rainbow trout. The river has three sections: the Upper Deschutes, the Middle Deschutes and they Lower Deshutes. - THE UPPER DESCHUTES - The forested beauty of the Upper Deschutes River provides a natural paradise for rafting, hiking, excellent trout fishing and observing wildlife. Float through the beautiful Deschutes National Forest, where the flows of lava from Newberry National Volcanic Monument shaped the Deschutes River over 7,000 years ago. Towering ponderosa pines and quaking aspens cover the landscape as river otters playfully swim through this river wonderland.

- THE MIDDLE DESCHUTES - The Middle Deschutes offers excellent hiking opportunities with spectacular geologic formations and waterfalls, but boating is limited.
- THE LOWER DESCHUTES - The Lower Deschutes offers the greatest opportunities for whitewater rafting and is one of Oregon's premier steelhead and trout fisheries.
